I received a brand new Nano SD and I'm unable to connect it to my WiFi.
When I first connected to the meteobridge-xxx... network, it asked for the login credentials and the WiFi client fields were empty. I supplied the info and pressed "Save and Test". It responded with success. Next, when I pressed "Save and Apply and Reboot", the red light cycled through the stages. It fast cycled and never connected.
I've tried numerous Nano resets, as well as router reboots. No luck. At this point a "Save and Test" behaves just like a "Save and Apply and Reboot".
I notice that even though I reset the Nano with the blue button, it still retains the info I originally entered. The WiFi client fields are already filled in and the Nano is not requesting login credentials. I've cleared the browser's cache and web data.
Is there some sequence of reset/power cycle/unplug+plugin that will perform a true factory reset?

If there is no external process, I am able to ssh using the meteobridge-xxx... network. Perhaps reformatting the SD card would accomplish it?

Re: Nano SD Won't Factory Reset
Looks like your WiFi credentials are wrong or you try to a non-standard wifi network (MESH etc) or one with hidden SSIDs which is not supported.
I don't think a factory reset will help here.

Re: Nano SD Won't Factory Reset
The NANO only supports 2.4 GHz. Make sure that you are not attempting to use 5 GHz WiFi SSID.
Since you can SSH using the MiFi network, you can edit the meteobridge.conf file in the root and erase your saved WiFi settings. Once in SSH session you can use VIM editor to edit the meteobridge.conf file. If you are not familiar with VIM you should read up on it first as it requires knowledge of some special key control sequences....for example i to enter insert mode (editing mode), ESC to exit insert mode and return to command mode, arrow keys to navigate, and :wq to write/quit (save changes and exit).

Re: Nano SD Won't Factory Reset
Editing the meteobridge.conf file and removing the ssid and passphrase worked, but it didn't fix the problem. I can access the Nano SD with ssh and luci. What should I be looking for? The iwconfig command shows:
root@MeteoBridge:~# iwconfig

where Grapevine is my router's 2.4 GHz ssid and 24:4B:FE:0B:57:A8 is its Mac id.

Re: Nano SD Won't Factory Reset
Looks like you can connect with the NANO via SSH. Doesn't that mean that it is connected?
I doubt you will do any good on the shell level. What do you expect to find there? Setting up the WiFi is very tricky on these MTK SOCs, please do not think you can do. It will fail 100% and it is not done by the expected openwrt tooling. Just as a reminder of caution.
There is a problem with compatibility to your WiFI. Do you have any speedup 2.4 Gz protocols or MESH stuff running?
Another thought. Which is the rating of your consoles PSU? 300mA? Do you have additional batteries in? Please read here viewtopic.php?f=56&t=13795&p=28714&hili ... ies#p28714

Bingo!
I replaced the batteries in my Vantage Pro2 console and everything runs fine now.
I might as well replace the power supply also.
