If the QuickCam Pro 5000 isn't expected to work anyway this is probably not relevant but,the ALIX 1D I tried the QCP 5000 on was using a port 5557 connection to RFXCOM data from another Meteohub.admin wrote:My guess is, that usb WMR devices might have this problem. USB serial driven stations (ones with usb/serial adapter or vantage usb or rfxcom) seem to work ok with web cams on ALIX.

In my system (alix 1d) the webcam that I have tryed didn't work anyway...I tryed only the webcam plugged in the usb connector (without link with my weather station) but didn't work too...
Webcam that I tested:
VESTA PVC680 (vesta pro)
CREATIVE VIDEO IM
MICROSOFT VX6000
SITECOM

A Microsoft LifeCam VX-1000 does work on ALIX.1D with both Meteohub version 3.3 and 4.1c.
I have a WMR928 with serial connection.
Have only tested it indoors but picture quality isn't very good. It's impossible to get it really sharp. At least when compared to a AXIS 207W, but I guess that's only to be expected as that IP-camera costs 14-15 times more than the VX-1000.
