If the QuickCam Pro 5000 isn't expected to work anyway this is probably not relevant but,the ALIX 1D I tried the QCP 5000 on was using a port 5557 connection to RFXCOM data from another Meteohub.

A Microsoft LifeCam VX-1000 does work on ALIX.1D with both Meteohub version 3.3 and 4.1c.

I have a WMR928 with serial connection.

Have only tested it indoors but picture quality isn't very good. It's impossible to get it really sharp. At least when compared to a AXIS 207W, but I guess that's only to be expected as that IP-camera costs 14-15 times more than the VX-1000.
