Weather Underground Dew point

Post by pirelli »

Hi,
I've been having some troubles getting data from my sensors located on top of my roof to my base station.
During that time, I continued to let Meteohub collect the data from my other sensors.

Since I use Weather Underground the Meteohub sends data to them every 5 minutes. This has made my data somewhat unique. Some days I have a really low dew point of -73.3 °C. B)

I guess this is because the dew point is a calculated value and because there's no data as input in the formula there is an error in the output?

I'm bumping this thread because the problem described here apparently still exists in version 4.1e.

Frequently when Meteohub reboots, the first data to go to Weather Underground is an incomplete packet with null values for most data, and -99.9F/-73.3C dewpoint and -100.00in/Hg pressure.

For two examples, here is my weather station data for March 7, 2009 -- scroll down to "tabular data" and note the entry at 02:16 (nightly reboot), and again at 14:58, when I performed a firmware upgrade requiring another system reboot.

From what we were able to figure out in this thread last month, this is probably caused by the equations Meteohub uses to calculate derivative values such as dew point, and it should be corrected to send null values instead of negative infinite values.
