Boris,
Pls see "Subject", did you just forget to change the version info on your update or is there a problem in my system? After updating twice still version 4.1b running on my system?
BTW: I am unable to delete graph definitions made previously with older software versions.
Regards,
Mario

v4.1f reports its version correctly here.Nimbus43 wrote:Pls see "Subject", did you just forget to change the version info on your update or is there a problem in my system? After updating twice still version 4.1b running on my system?
If Meteohub says 4.1b, then it seems likely that the update has not taken for some reason.
Do the log files seem to report anything odd?

Hello Skywright:
Thanks for your info.
No, there are no odd things in the log file. Only problem here is that I am unable to copy the update file to the Meteohub transfer folder. That's why I tried the update twice via the web interface.
Looks like you said - Meteohub didn't accept it.
I'll try it once again.
Regards,
Mario

The web interface is what I always use.Nimbus43 wrote:No, there are no odd things in the log file. Only problem here is that I am unable to copy the update file to the Meteohub transfer folder. That's why I tried the update twice via the web interface.
I download the update, saving it to one of the other computers on the local network, then point Software Update (Web) at that copy (using Firefox on Win Xp, Win 2K, Xandros or Ubuntu depending of which PC is being used).

Browser updates never worked with Internet Explorer 6 or 7 (on Windows XP) for me. With Firefox (on Kubuntu) I've been successful every time.

Thanks all for your comments.
It looks like I have a problem with my 4 GB USB stick, I am able to see/read the files but cannot delete files on the stick from my PC. I think this is the reason why updates via the web interface fail. Usually I do the updates by transferring the update file to the stick. This doesn't work either, I get the error message "access violation, (update) file is probably in use".
I'll buy a new 4 GB stick, duplicate the files on the old stick onto the new one and will try again tomorrow to carry out the update.
It's a pity that Boris is very busy ...
