Meteobridge and GW1000 on road map?

Post by Daali »

Is a full implementation of the GW1000 available data on the road map?

I'm not in a hurry nor am I trying to start a war. I'm just curious if all the reportable data from the GW1000 will be able to be passed through meteobridge at some point.

Thank you for the wonderful product!

The recent version of Meteobridge can receive the observations of all sensors received by the GW1000
if or as long as you have the basic sensors (wind, rain, outdoor temperature) active/present.

The (less and less) rare cases that a GW1000 is connected to only a single sensor like e.g. a WH57 (lightning) and not to the basic outdoor sensors still need some improvements. The MB logger cannot handle this situation yet as per today. Some programming effort needed.

This issue is known and reported in this forum for quite some time, but doesn't seem to be high on the issue list of the developer.

Even though this constellation is not uncommon - e.g. someone owning a Davis station but wants to add the Ecowitt WH57 lightning sensor with a GW1000 as 2nd station.

pm25batt is seen by meteobridge? I do not believe the pm25_aqi fields are pullable either, but I may be missing something. maybe it's the ecowitt api not having it available but I can see the data in the raw stream and on ecowitt.net

Meteobridge provides all sensor observation data for the GW1000. Not the sensors' battery status data.
And I don't think it is planned to do so.
If you want to get those, beyond ecowitt.net, you will have to use the custom server function (ecowitt protocol) of the console (GW1000) and pick the transmission up via CumulusMX (http (Ecowitt) mode) or use weewx with the GW1000 API or the interceptor driver or use the FOSHKplugin.

But Boris the MB developer, is the one with the final say over the road map.

copy that, and that was the gist of the ask in the beginning of the thread.

Thank you for all your help.
