Weather34 Aurora Version(english supported only)

I recently updated to the Aurora MKII templates (thanks for creating them. They are great!). I previously was on an older version of the Weather 34 template - just prior to auto-updates. I have two questions following the update to the latest template:

1. After the update, my 5-day forecast says it is 1 degree F and is going to snow (I'm in North America in the middle of summer ). I have confirmed that my WU API key is correct and has not expired. I also have confirmed that the HTTP uploads on meteo bridge are all executing correctly and showing a green checkmark. Does anyone have any suggestions on what else I might check to correct the forecast?

2. I backed up the old template before upgrading. Is there a way to migrate the old historic data to the new template? I have data starting from 2019.

good evening

you need to look at server level folder/file permissions, also looking at your today charts there is no data so start with folder/file permissions in all folders ..

as for importing history chart data fix the folder /file permissions if it is the root cause first and ill help with importing data .

Thank you, that was the issue. I had checked the permissions before posting, but it appears that on one of the folders, the changes were not applied to the files within the folder. The charts and forecasts are now working properly.

I see the directories for the historical data. Am I able to directly copy the data from the old directories in so that I can display the historical data, or does the new template use a new format?

hello good glad that was easy for you .

send me your 2021.csv and 2020.csv from old template and ill covert them . yes there are changes and extras not found in very older version.

I use a localized automator apple script . sorry I don't share it but educating users on apple scripts is not my forte but always happy to help converting them locally.

send via pm message or alternatively create a folder on your server called oldcsv and put them in there and ill grab them via browser just pm the url to the folder . ill do them in the morning my time istanbul..Brian

Good morning nothing todo apart from a couple of lines out of sync in 2020.csv , they are limited in comparison to new version output but just drop the 2019.csv/2020.csv into the current weather34charts .
,you will have some anomaly due to no uv or solar present in your chart data in these files . also I would grab the latest update download and go through the settings in the setup to insure all modules relate to your hardware .

I’m enjoying the alternative view journey Brian
Especially the press a module for more information..
Would you consider using the same for the main display? It would remove quite a lot of “ extra dara” text?

Hello Gary sorry I forgot to remove the option that said the option has no bearing on the template anymore , will remove next update .
Please note email option will be removed , I don't find it a spam secure method though its supposed to be but I find spam finds it way through one way or the other . So your custom one I did you need to keep intact in the side menu file weather34-sidemenu.php if you still want to have the feature.

Adding hidden popups to main dashboard is not an option Im considering hence the idea of having a slimmed down display in alternative view .

have a good weekend no idea Stourport Basin is anything north of Watford Gap my geography is pretty bad
its been 15 years since I lived in the UK so my familiarity of UK areas is dwindling

Yes I do wish to keep the email option, People were using duff info in the contact form. At present the graphic is working well, yes I still get a little spam, but because I use Office 365 for email with quite aggressive checking of senders etc. The ones that do get through only manage it once!

Stourport Basin is at the terminus of the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal where it joins the beginning of the navigable River Severn.

im listening but every time I produce something simple I get lots of can we do this , can we have this etc so instead of being a grumpy ol git ill try ideas and see what the responses are ..
