Tempest replacement sensor and mapping. **solved**

Post by downer42 »

Hi, I am using meteobridge latest version with tplink mr3020. The Tempest sensors fail quite often in harsh environments and need to be replaced. Upon receiving new Tempest sensor and replacing through the Tempest app, meteobridge labels a second set of physical sensors in the database which my software(custom does not work with). thb0!0temp to thb0temp (orig) and after replacement I get thb0!1temp to thb1temp.
Is there a way to not have to default the device and set up again or avoid the task of mapping in mapping to get it to the original behavior of mapping?
When I use mapping all variables work except feels like and it is confusing. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you

Sorry for the late reply, I had the same issue and it is because the new sensors are non primary.
I will include this link to a post by gizmoev in the Tempest forum,
Pretty easy to do, took me about 5 minutes including a reboot.
https://community.weatherflow.com/t/met ... ce/2581/49
Scroll to the bottom of the post and gizmos post is about 5 from the bottom.
Basically you backup your meteobridge config file, open it in a text editor, find your wflowskysensor and wflowairsensor (using the new station number of the tempest) rename them to wflowskysensor0 and wflowairsensor100 , save the file and load it back into your meteobridge , reboot and your new tempest will become primary.
Save that config file somewhere :)
Hope this helps

There has been a feature in the past that allowed to reset the sensor binding. When doing the redesign to allow support of more than one weather station in parallel this feature was lost. With just released update the switch is back again for WeatherFlow, GW1000 and AcuLink stations.

Setting the mark will reset sensor bindings of all stations of that particular type. You should now this in case you have more than one station of this type connected (which is rather unlikely).
