Hi Brian, the last update fixed the ConsoleCharts layout issue. Thank you.

With regard to the temperature charts I wanted to offer my thoughts on the temperature colour scales as I sometimes find that in the mid temperature ranges that some lower values result in what I would consider to be a warmer colour for a colder value. I realise that this is just opinion but wanted to offer this with no expectations or requests:

Screenshot 2021-09-10 at 10 September 2021 11.05.35 am.png (327.94 KiB) Viewed 5632 times
I have created this in a spreadsheet whereby you enter the RGB, highlight the cell and run a macro, and it fills the cell with the background colour matching the RGB value. The rest of the row automatically calculates the HSL. I've adopted this into my temperature charts. You can see that I've also made the min values align to colour.

I can send you the spreadsheet if you think it would be useful.
Regards
Jason

hi jason thats cool i can adapt the charts quite easily to those as you provided the hsl color code which i always prefer to use .

will update early next week. perhaps a less bold green for 15-20c just desaturate it a bit to remove the boldness , bold colors dont always render nicely on led screens especially if contrast is high..

@josep be back up next week ..sorry for the inconvenience..

Brian, You could spend hours tweaking this (and you probably already have).

weatherist34 wrote: Thu Sep 09, 2021 4:06 pm Hi Chuck im sorry but catering for so many different configurations is somewhat mind blowing believe me or trust me, I can sit here create a perfect layout and then once it is out in the wilds someone will come along and highlight a discrepancy (that's not a problem but often no solution is provided ) simply because the wider range of sensor setups .So don't misunderstand me but with the advent of Meteobridge capabilities of supporting multiple brands simultaneously is just an headache to find a comfortable balance .That said Im not in anyway NOT recommending to use Meteobridge in that way because its highlights its versatile capability and flexibility .But developing for that vast array is often done blind and Im not the person who enjoys that challenge .

Chuck the original layout for multiple air quality hardware is still there all Ive done is consolidated each different hardware type to be able to maintain it going forth. There are some out there who have 4 air quality sensors and each to their own its their hobby, their requirements but trying to fathom a smooth layout for that is beyond me.

So my friendly advice to all start looking elsewhere for a template if your expanding your weather station beyond a standard Davis VP2+ .

Im happy to just plod along with a basic supported template..

Brian
Brian,

Not an issue. I usually update rapidly and I was just letting you know that I would need to adapt a few items first.

As I said, I know its a headache to try and keep up with all of the add-on "gadgets" - sometimes I get the urge to just dump them.

Have a good weekend and remember BOAT - Break Out Another Thousand :D

Please read !!

Due to the rather inept email I recieved yesterday as of Monday the master download and update files will only be compatible with Davis Vantage hardware that meaning Davis Vantage Pro2(+),Vantage Vue,Envoy .

All other brands like Ecowitt(Fine Offset likes),Weatherflow,Oregon will see a permanent NAG SCREEN advising your weather station hardware is not compatible . The template will still recognize other brands where used as a second station, third station for picking up extra sensors like purple air, airlink, weatherflow lightning, ecowitt lightning ,luftdaten but only when used as an additional sensor will these brands work. The brands will not work or be recognized if they are the main station sensor. Im sorry I really am but Ive said many times, reiterated many times I am not the guy to develop for the vast array of sensors particularly Ecowitt types but Im not going to go over old ground time and time again so If you own a Davis Vantage type hardware then your in safe hands, if not please look elsewhere around the various weather forums there are many solutions to meet your requirements .

so there we are Im sorry but inept emails are not the way to get me to adapt the template to anything other than Davis Vantage hardware .I love to collaborate constructively always appreciate ideas or solutions that are brought to the table but inept emails your wasting time it just deters progress .(ideas/solutions/bugs are constantly acknowledge weekly in change logs on download page , I believe in acknowledging input and efforts made by others ) .

as of Monday nag screen...

Hi Brian,

Did you change the repository my Github is no longer able to access it? I prefer using Github it works well.

Graham & Brian,

Not seeing the nag screen here I think I'm at the latest update? I used the .zip method since my github is no longer able to access the repository?

good stuff Ron, very minor visual changes but most significant change is Davis Vantage only compatibility, once the dust settles it will be smoother going forward..

ps boat im on the verge of buying one next just a bit of bureaucracy todo with transfer of registration, also renaming the boat though it has a unique registration number the name is open to be changed so my UK friends will get this naming it “Uncle Albert” aka only fools and horses character..wife is a fanatic of the series..
