Web interface connection problem

Post by dcspicer »

You probably have seen my other post, but I've installed debian linux on an old laptop and did all of the install of programs called out. I know that meteohub software has been installed. I can verify this by using my XP system to see the content. I know what the IP is. It has been assigned by my DHCP router.

My Problem is that when I type that address into firefox, I get page can not be viewed error. I have also tried the same address and added :7777 at the end. Still same thing.

So my question is what can I do to log in and setup my meteohub system?

Have you tried the backup IP 192.168.1.77? Can you see it on your network or get to it via SSH or possilby run IP Scan..... Just a few thoughts?

I have run IP scan from 192.168.1.1 through 192.168.2.255 and it does not show nothing on 192.168.1.77. I can see Samba 3.0.24(Meteohub) and can access it and browse the files. I do not know much about Linux. So if you tell me how to verify the firewall settings I will do that. The only thing that I can not do is get access through the web interface.

Just a little bit more information. I ran IP scan and the option to scan the ports. The ports that are being scanned are 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 79, 80, 110, 119, 7777. The only ones that get returned is 25 & 110. So I'm thinking that port 80 & 7777 are being blocked. But how do I fix that?
