Many "no valid rf signal" in logging. **solved**

Post by ORNTX19 »

Recently I have taken an interest in finding out why the "restart meteostick, (x seconds no valid rf signal)" messages appear in the log. Also, disconnects from the WLAN or Internet are logged. I have read many posts on this subject, but I still cannot figure why this is happening. My Davis VP2 ISS is only 15 feet away from my Meteobridge Red (transmitting through a window). The signal level is good in the -50s dB. I have tried using one of my Davis consoles in the re-transmit mode. However, the results are the same. I have included 3 files that show my data. Can anyone see where the issue is? Thank you!

Exactly the same problem here. Meteobridge Pro is useless. No valid rf signal, having console retransmit which is 20 cm apart.

-52/-53 dB shouldn't be an issue? What Sensitivity setting have you set, Primary Station Tab? have a Pro signal strength 59/60dB with absolutely no issues.

I have the Sensitivity set for -70 dB. Do you think this is a proper setting considering my signal level? Thank you!

Problem solved. ISS battery was low (cold weather). Not constant error message in console, appeared every now and then.

-70dB should be ok. I typically start with -80db and if it works without interference/noise relative to the signal strength then I'll leave it at that. My 80db setting on one unit has a signal strength 48-49db from a close range repeater. Another unit running from the same repeater also set -80db with signal of -50/-56db
