Meteobridge not rebooting. **solved**

Post by baobab »

Hello - after doing a system restart to pull the newest firmware my Meteobridge no longer boots up properly. The web UI does not load. I've done a number of hard restarts to try to get it to work but no luck. The samba share becomes available after a while so the OS is booting but the web ui does not work. The last previous restart was done about two months ago and worked as expected. What is the best solution to resolve this without losing the weather data from the past 18 months or so?

Thanks,

Baobab

Try this first to make sure you're still using the correct IP address within your LAN to get into the UI:
http://magicip.meteobridge.com
(gives the IP address of your Meteobridge within your LAN)
It is useful to turn off your VPN if you use that, otherwise the MB will not be found.
Does the LED on the MB burn continuously? It flashes during the reboot.

Thanks for your response. Turns out the Meteobridge's entry in my router's DHCP IP assignment table was erased by accident (not sure how) and it was thus assigned a different IP address. Not at all a Meteobridge issue and I feel silly for not thinking of that myself.

I am convinced that if one person does not know, the other does. And if the other person overlooks something, someone else will think about it. So nothing to feel silly about.
