Weather Display Software

Post by oldmaineiac »

Just switched from metohub to meteobridge runing on a Rasberry PI. I have Weather Display setup to get data from the meteobridge which is working fine. One question, when on meteohub and I start Weather Display after not running for a while it would bring in missed data from meteohub. It isn't doing that with meteobridge. Is there a way to get it to catch up after not running for a while.
Thanks

Hello,
I also have the same problem, data is not downloaded from the datalogger if WD is closed for some time.

Emailed Brian Hamilton and here is what he said, "it is by design, because a meteobridge is not able to provide to software the history data like a meteohub, as far as i know".

It depends how you connect WeatherDisplay to the Meteobridge.
Probably you are now using the xml method.

BUT if the Meteobridge is connected to a Davis console either with an USB or IP-logger
you can tell WeatherDisplay to use the Meteobridge as a "Davis console+ fake IP-logger. "
WeatherDisplay should connect to the IP of your Meteobridge at port 22222

Then the Meteobridge will switch into pass-thruogh mode and let WeatherDisplay do everything it needs to do.

Meteobridge can also pass through the connection to the Davis station to an additional PC weather program of your liking. Therefore, you can use Meteobridge and a PC weather program in parallel.
This will not work is you are using a Davis system without a console+logger, f.i. with a "Meteostick"
