Help for a Newbie please

Post by Spg2810 »

Hi all just looking for some startup help.
I am moving from a pc setup running Weather Display (for the past 20 years) to a Meteobridge pro red Ive managed to get reception finally although very disappointed with the performance of the pro in this department! I also find the web interface extremely slow?

So with data available I setup hourly emails to keep an eye on Stability which has been good but would like to make some changes to the standard template and add some more but don’t have a clue where data, graphs and templates are stored!
I have tried ipaddress/data/templates but get no such file or directory!

I really am looking forward to achieving more with the pro but need some newbie help please.
Many thanks in advance
Stuart.

Current setup:
Davis VP2 plus
serial data logger
Weather display
Davis VP2 Plus
Davis Airlink
Meteobridge pro (new)

you cannot expect high speed performance from a low power device.
Depending on the queries you make, the response times of the WebUI will be higher.
If you want a high performance Meteobridge, you have to go for Meteobridge on a RaspberryPi, best RPi4B-2 GB.
It will also consume more power than a MB Pro, but response times will be close to calling an internet web page.
Usually Meteobridge exports a SMB share, which will appears on a Windows PC as a network share \\METEOBRIDGE with the data subdirectory and under that import, export, templates etc. It can also be shown/accessed in Windows Explorer as \\IP-address\data.
On a Linux PC you might need to mount IP-address/tmp/mnt/data into your file system
