Rebuild Database

Post by garybridge »

Anybody give me some guidance?
Rebooted my Nano with rebuild database option. It’s been at the rebuilding screen for around 11 hours now. How long before I panic and what’s the next step?

Database is dumped in terms of tons of sql insert statements which are stored as a compressed archive and then database is rebuild from that. Depending on database size this can take very long, but it totally guarantees that database is consistent after that. This is the last line of defence, so you should not be forced to do that often.
