Have you already tried following the instructions in the Meteohub manual?

In the English version of the v4.0 manual PDF the WSWIN Data Export section starts on page 55.

How do you setup that WSWIN go look for the files at \\\\METEOHUB\\public\\export ????

WSWIN can't read this information it hangs.

All help is welcome.

It's so long since I set this up I forget (and reading the English translation of the WSWIN manual is not always easy), but:

1) The first reading of the data is likely to take quite a while.
2) Somewhere in the set up there is an option to only check and read the data periodically, e.g. every 5 minutes or 10 minutes (10 minutes is what I use).

Ah. Found it.

File => Options => Warning/Pause => Pause.

Here's a quote from the WSWIN help file (English verson).
From V2.85.0, also a "passive operation" or also called Pause operation is supported.

The difference to the normal operating mode = recording, exists, that the program becomes "active" only in the here put in interval and picks up data on that occasion, while constantly at the "active operation", the program accordingly the record interval's the interfaces polls.

This operating mode is not suitable for the WM918, WMR9x8-stations, only for weather station types with data logger (WS2000, WS2500, VantagePro) and in the operating mode "File-Watching". If you have problems with the active file watching, you should energize the Pause operating mode here by way of experiment.

PC-Weatherstation

Do you have that set, or are you trying to read continuously?

If that doesn't help, the WSWIN forum might be a good place to ask for more detail of how to set up the WSWIN end?

Being abusive is not a good way to get help.

The problem you are having seems to be a matter of WSWIN configuration. Have you asked on the WSWIN forum? There are a substantial number of Meteohub users there (including the WSWIN developer I think?).

it looks like an UNC problem.

First of all meteohubs export drive should be mapped to a local network drive.
e.g. on my notebook \\\\meteohub\\public is mapped to M:/
Then it works together with wswin.

Because the local user meteohub isn´t available on the local wswin machine user/password credits have to be entered again every time the network mapping is lost, I use the very handy net use command to automatically remap meteohub drive, my wswin machine is booted.
Also be aware that WINDOWS is using the current logon username for external network drives;)

create a link and put this into autostart

Code: Select all

net use m: \\\\meteohub\\public meteohub /user:meteohub

The author is German, but he does speak/write English. The program can be run "in English". The support Forum mainly uses German, but English is acceptable. There an English language version of the help / manual. The translation is a little "interesting" in places...

Well worth a try. :)
