problems to use my WH2650A (Ecowitt) **solved**

Post by meteosantasusanna »

Hello,

I have problems to use my WH2650A (Ecowitt) on meteobridge with raspberry. i have another meteobridge with dlink router and it works fine but in raspberry they will not find the sensors.

at the dlink the sensors are correct:

rain0!0rate rain0rate rain rate (hourly)
rain0!0total rain0total rain fall (total amount)
sol0!0rad sol0rad solar radiation
th0!0dew th0dew outdoor dewpoint
th0!0heatindex th0heatindex outdoor heatindex
th0!0hum th0hum outdoor humidity
th0!0temp th0temp outdoor temperature
thb0!0dew thb0dew indoor dew point
thb0!0hum thb0hum indoor humidity
thb0!0press thb0press pressure
thb0!0seapress thb0seapress sealevel pressure
thb0!0temp thb0temp indoor temperature
uv0!0index uv0index uv index
wind0!0avgwind wind0avgwind average wind speed
wind0!0chill wind0chill wind chill
wind0!0dir wind0dir wind direction
wind0!0wind wind0wind wind speed

but on raspberry:

data0!10num data10num CPU load
data0!11num data11num uptime
data0!12num data12num data storage usage
data0!13num data13num RAM usage
data0!15num data15num processes
data0!16num data16num data age
t0!9temp t9temp system temperature

i use exactly the same configuration for the weather station.

Where ist the problem for that?

When i reset the station than it goes 1 o 2 minutes than stalles:

are you sure you are using the proper driver ??
If you really have a WH2650, then the Meteobridge driver should be GW1000 and NOT ObserverIP.
(Station --> Primary)
ObserverIP is an old device of the WH2600 type and does not have the Ecowitt Gateway (old name GW1000) API.
They look similar from outside but are not.
Have a look at https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=40970.0
where you will get a good explanation and understanding of the WH2650 and the difference to an old ObserverIP device (WH2600).

This has (should have) nothing to do with the RaspberryPi - I'm running a WH2650 on RPi4B via the MB GW1000 driver without any issues.
And should have nothing to do with the dlink router either.
The WH2650 is a WLAN/"WiFi" device which connects to your router and your local network either directly or via an access point (often the Access Point is part of the router if it is a so-called "WiFi router").
