Vantage Pro 2 - Transmitter status. **solved**

Post by Clément »

Hello,

I have a Vantage Pro 2 running on MeteoBridge (MR 3020) and it looses de transmission from the ISS (outdoor temp turns red in MeteoBridge).
Transmission from a wind transmitter is fine.

Is there a way the get the VP2 signal strenght and transmitters status into MeteoBridge?
I don't have access to the console right now...

Thanks.

So first to confirm you have an ISS and also a separate wind transmitter, yes/no?

Can you see the Monitor>Live Data tab on the MB?

I have:
- ISS on channel 1;
- Wind transmitter on channel 8.

VP2 console seems to loose communication on channel 1 (ISS) as the outdoor temperature turns red on Meteobridge interface.
During that time, wind transmitter still works (Meteobridge recieve data).

Is there a way to debug transmitter signal with meteobridge?
Get signal strenght, packet loss as it is available on the console and weatherlink software (I currently don't have access to the console but have access to meteobridge).

Meteobridge reads weather data from Console but no debugging information regarding RF reception. I guess the Console might report some reception stats somewhere hidden in the menus.

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback.
Indeed, the console has a "signal debug" screen that can be access by holding Temp and Hum keys.
As thoose data are available on other softwares (WeatherLink, WsWin, WeeWX...), I was wondering if it was also available on meteobrige.
Anyway, it seems it is not.

Annyone can give me some hint on what could be wrong with that message:

Code: Select all

logger (14.10.2023 13:28:39): Bad th0 sensor data, "humidity" (255) out of range [0:100]
logger (26.10.2023 17:14:56): message above repeats 688 times.
Thanks!

Your humidity sensor is broken. Replace.
