good morning .. everything is done now apart from the guy for the webcam so wait till end of next week till allow a bit of time for any other ideas
.

really important when new options get added always go to the setup screen and choose the options regardless of whether their beneficial to you otherwise you will get a broken layout.

have a nice weekend..brian

hello Gary great if I still have access to your site you will see it update maybe tomorrow or Wednesday . not sure about your contact idea where the image is only present doesnt really serve any beneficial purpose has 99.9% of viewers will look for the click to contact or cut and paste method.So need to look at really good secure method , the common for php forms are very insecure these days so need some thought .

optional modules bottom row a few variations but you can choose which ever position in the bottom you wish.

Hi Brian,

I’m happy with the contact button as it was. I’ve not had any problems at all with it at all.

Do you remember that we spoke ( probably around 2 years ago! ) about having the ability to drill down on the data of the previous years exsisting charts. ?

Is that possible?

hello Gary

your site is updated with new layout and your contact method.

sorry i dont recall the conversation about charts.. explain "drill down" not a terminology I'm familiar with when talking about design..

have a good day..brian

Is it possible that the menu is invisible when it is closed? Now a narrow strip is still visible.

Thanks :)
I played around with it a bit.

The orange line is now on the far right when the menu is open?
Can you possibly limit the height of the menu so that it does not take up the entire height of the page?

I would also like the menu to close when you click next to the menu in the main window, i.e. without the X (as with the Almanac windows).

Hello Torsten

just in time after tomorrow I have no plans todo any more. not sure where your seeing the orange has new 2024 menu does not have the orange side stripe.perhaps your playing around with older versions.

I have just added the close outside so click anywhere you want if you want to close menu .

see/try for example https://whaleybridge-weather.com/weathe ... layout.php

Hopefully this evening my time I will upload the update for general use..

***NOTE must be using last simple update released June 2023 if your not or you have compiled your own custom version you definitely should not run this update !!!!
you would would have to use the next master release from the start. sorry but I dont have time currently to compile a a version prior to June 2023.

menu code to click and close anywhere

Code: Select all

 // weather34 Aurora MKII menu December 2023 CLOSE anywhere...
var open = true;
document.addEventListener("mouseup", function(event){
    var weather34menu = document.getElementById('weather34-menu2024');
    if(open == true && event.target != weather34menu && event.target.parentNode != weather34menu){
            closeNav();
            console.log("Closing");
    //check if the Weather34 menu is really closed
    } else if (open == false) {
        console.log("Weather34 sidemenu is closed by default")
    }
})

Hello Brian,

thanks for the "close outside click". :D

I have use the exeample site https://whaleybridge-weather.com/weathe ... layout.php

It is once again a typical browser manufacturer problem.
In MS Edge I see an orange bar on the right with menu and the menu does not stop downwards:

In Firefox, a thin gray frame appears on the right when the mouse pointer is over the main window without menu:

Everything is fine with Safari iOS. :mrgreen:
