Hi, I've just had a message from the site I send my METAR e-mail to (XCWeather) to say that my Barometric pressure looks low for the area. In the METAR e-mail, he is right. The METAR below shows a Q of 0999:
METAR Q018 090940Z AUTO 24207G12KT 11/05 Q0999 SLP127
but at that moment my DAVIS is reading 1013 and also the cleintraw.txt send from Meteohub to my website is also reading 1013 so that is what I'd expect to see in my METAR e-mail??
Any ideas. Mike

Re:METAR E-mail Again!
Meteohub reports pressure at station altitude with Qxxxx and pressure adjusted to sea level with SLPxxx. From my understanding from Metar specs that is how it is meant to be. But I might be wrong. Anybody out here who knows for sure what METAR Qxxxx is looking for.
clientraw gets sea level pressure (1012.7 hPa) in your case..

Re:METAR E-mail Again!
Boris,
I'm no expert on this but I've just pasted below the current Metar from EGGD, the military weather station at Gloucester airport (about 12 miles away) and it's Q as you can see is pretty much the same as my weather station hPa.
METAR EGGD 092320Z 26004KT 9999 FEW035 07/06 Q1017
mine is reading 1015.9. Gloucester airport is at a slighlty lower altitude.
So I'm not sure what Q is meant to be.
