The new Davis WeatherLink Console 6313 and Metobridge Pro2?

Post by Sperber »

Hey, is there a way to connect the new Davis console to the Metobridge Pro2?
I've had the old console for over 15 years! (GOOD JOB) :D I upload the data to Weatherlink with the Davis Envoy and for the other weather networks with the Meteobridge NanoSD!

It's about time to renew the system...

Why would you want to connect your meteobrdige pro 2 to your console?
The meteobridge pro 2 can directly receive the signals of your ISS
The new 6313 console cannot be connected to the meteobridge pro 2
But the new console is also called a weatherlink console and is capable of uploading your data to weatherlink and connect to it for forecast retrieval and view nearby stations on the map
I use a pro 2 because the new console cannot be fitted with a Nano SD as it has no extension slot like the 6312 console
The new console can replace your Envoy as it has the ability to receive multiple stations including multiple ISS
The pro 2 will replace your Nano SD as I have done recently, functionality is the same as the Nano SD with the extra feature of direct receiving signals and the LAN connection

The Envoy (#6316) is nothing more than a #6312 but without screen & controls and like the 6312 cannot receive multiple stations/ISS, you might be referring to the discontinued Envoy8X (#6318)?
.... The pro 2 will replace your Nano SD as I have done recently, functionality is the same as the Nano SD ....
Functionally is "similar" on the MB side but the PRO2 cannot upload to WeatherLink.com like the Nano/SD
.... functionality is the same as the Nano SD with the extra feature of direct receiving signals....
Not quite but in regard direct signal reception, a Nano/SD has much better signal reception in a #6312/#6316 than a standalone standard Pro or Pro2

Hey, thanks.
Yes, that's pretty much what I thought too!

The only problem is that it is not possible on Weatherlink (Support) to transfer my old data to a new device (New Console)!

The old console now routes the data to the new console and everything else stays the same!

I've already reserved an old console ;)
