I have purchased a meteobridge pro 2 in order to get rid of my old 6312 console with a Nano SD in it, gathering dust on the attic
Transferring the settings was easy but the transfer of my database is not going well
Through SMB it is failing with network error on my laptop
So i did it with my phone and total commander
However something is not right and the database is corrupted or malformed as it shows on the logging
I need to directly download the database (almost 600 Mb) to my laptop and then I will be able to put it on a USb device on my pro 2
Is there a way through SSH to do this?
SMB is slow or failing
I really need to get my database on the pro 2 it has 8 years of data in it
I tried to read it directly from the micro SD but Windows throws an error and says it has to be formatted first, because Linux is different
I can login with putty on my Nano SD, but where do I find the database/SD card?
Any help with transfer or how to would be appreciated
Thanks
Edit:
Finally got the database imported but the dbase file needed a rebuild, got tons of logging messages that data was malformed, I think this had to do with bad minute interval data
I downloaded the whole contents of the SD card to my laptop but this could not be done directly because the SD card is EXT 4 formatted which is standard in Linux OS
So I had to find a way to work around this problem...
Fortunately I have a Synology NAS in my network and this allowed me to insert the SD card by means of a micro SD card reader into the USB of the NAS
Through file explorer I was able to download the contents of the SD card to my laptop with great speed
The NAS is also Linux based so no problems there
To make a long story short, my min and max values are back and everything is working now, I configured the settings manually as I do not trust the settings file which seemed to affect my station selection, it was a little more work but I'm happy with the result.....

Re: Migrating from Nano SD to pro 2 database transfer
Well it is today I discovered that all my min values of the day or not stored
I'm still getting a lot of messages stating
forced (1) (storemin): th0temp
dbase (06.04.2024 18:00:05): failed with step exist record on 'th0temp_min' (after 0 retries in 1ms): database disk image is malformed (11)
dbase (06.04.2024 18:00:05): rollback on insert forced (1) (storemin): th0temp
dbase (06.04.2024 18:00:06): failed with step exist record on 'th0temp_min' (after 0 retries in 1ms): database disk image is malformed (11)
dbase (06.04.2024 18:00:06): rollback on insert forced (1) (storemin): th0temp
chart (06.04.2024 18:00:06): failed with export step 0 on 'th0temp_min' (after 0 retries in 1ms): database disk image is malformed (11)
chart (06.04.2024 18:00:06): failed with export step 0 on 'thb0temp_min' (after 0 retries in 1ms): database disk image is malformed (11)
chart (06.04.2024 18:00:06): failed with export step 0 on 'th0hu
Etc
I guess the database is still malformed somehow
Edit:
Did a reconstruct of the database but no success, now I try the forced rebuild on reboot, hopefully it does the trick
I only have problems with the min values of almost every sensor
I thought the databases of the nano and the pro2 are the same?
Edit 2:
Rebuild is deleting my per minute data....and this rebuild is a long process (about 8 hrs!)
What a bummer
I hope the pro 2 will work as it should once I have a good database, otherwise I'm considering to return the unit and stick with the Nano SD

Re: Migrating from Nano SD to pro 2 database transfer, database malformed...lost minute data
Database has been rebuild, but my minute data is gone
Surely this should not happen with import of database
Is the database of pro2 per minute different than the Nano SD per minute?
I do have the Nano still in use so my minute data is not lost
Any help on how to get the per minute data properly on the pro 2 would be nice
For now my min data is back

Re: Migrating from Nano SD to pro 2 database transfer, database malformed...
When you give me remote access to your NANO and PRO2 I can try to extract the database in raw format and push it onto the PRO2. I would not expect any problems here, database formats are expected to be identical.

Re: Migrating from Nano SD to pro 2 database transfer, database malformed...
database export from NANO was corrupted. By fixing a bug in the rebuild script a new rebuild went ok and did not delete the per minute data.
What rendered the database corrupt in the first place is not understood so far.
