I recently purchased a Linksys NSLU2 with the intent of using it with my LaCrosse 2310 initially, and then with the Davis 6153 I plan to install.
I have researched programs from Open 2300 and wview, but both of these lack the GUI web interface that Meteohub has and let's face it, I know very, very little about Linux. I am computer literate, but my non-Windows knowledge amounts to some dabbling with Basic and Fortran in college thirty years ago. Thus, trying to install and use the two mentioned programs may be beyond my abilities (and time constraints).
What would prevent me from demo-ing Meteohub with my existing ws-2310 setup? In what way is the Lacrosse station NOT supported, and is there a workaround?
btw, my main goal with Meteohub is to upload to WeatherUnderground without needing the PC on at all times.
Thank you,
Tom

Re:Meteohub and WS-2310
Boris,
I'd like to thank you for implementing support for the WS-23xx Lacrosse stations. I've been up for three days now on my WS-2310 with no problems, except that WDL does not work (error loading data).
Of course, my Davis VP 2 6153 arrived in the mail yesterday, so it's time to hoist that station up on the roof and get that running on the slug. Time to retire the Lacrosse after 5 years of good service (3 in BC Canada and 2 here in Arizona). Without a fan aspirated shield and quicker wireless updating, the Lacrosse just doesn't cut the mustard!
Thanks again Boris, and I'll send an e-mail for the activation code shortly,
Tom

Re:Meteohub and WS-2310
you can use both stations in parallel with Meteohub.

Re:Meteohub and WS-2310
With a USB hub? I'd like to run both stations in parallel for a bit just to evaluate...
Re:Meteohub and WS-2310
yes, should work.
Re:Meteohub and WS-2310
i am running (v.4.3d) a wired ws2350 connected to serial port as second station and it seems to me that there is a problem reading the gustspeed from the station
it is always identical to wind_speed, i.e.
actual_wind5_gustspeed_kmh 16.2
actual_wind5_speed_kmh 16.2
Last Signal Sensor Data
16 sec 9.5(9.5)m/s SSW

Re:Meteohub and WS-2310
The station does just report wind, which I assume is gust speed. At the moment both values are the same. I will add an averaged value in the next update.
Re:Meteohub and WS-2310
Oooops, I looked into the code. Value is factor 10 too high. Sorry I don't have a WS2300 to test with. Will be fixed with next update.
