Unable to login

Post by Wingfat »

I am unable to login after a reset. 192.168.169.1 gives me the prompt to login with Meteobridge and meteobridge respectively. Eventually it will time out. Reset was done as I setup a new network using a new hardware and subnet/IP settings. Thanks

Were you using DHCP or fixed IP before the hardware was installed?

I was using a fixed IP. I just managed to log into the interface by changing the username to lowercase meteobridge instead of the default Meteobridge that was auto filled. Wasted several hours on troubleshooting this one. Thanks.

Have never seen or used anything other than meteobridge (no capitals) as the user. Auto filling wouldn't be coming from the unit, more likely the attached computer OS?

It auto-filled with the meteobridge data. This is not what it was configured for just before it was reset. I had a custom user and password configured so I just assumed this was an automatic fill due to a reset. I'm not accustomed having the user field so exact.

Well there you go, apart from not having a need to, I didn't know/realize one could customize the user id, something new for today.

User cannot be configured. It is fixed "meteobridge" for HTTP and "root" for SSH login.
When someone tweaks that on the shell he is on its own.
