NANO SD: move from Davis VUE to PRO2 Console

Post by jasonmfarrow »

Is it possible and supported to move an existing NANOSD from a Davis VUE console to a Davis PRO2 console?

I'm thinking of upgrading to the Davis Pro2 ISS. There are three options:
  1. Use the existing VUE console and connect the PRO2 ISS as a 2nd device and then map sensors in Meteobridge as needed.
  2. Use the new PRO2 console, if they can still be bought, and move the Meteobridge NanoSD between consoles.
  3. Use the existing VUE console and leave the PRO2's Weatherlink console in the box if I can't get #2 above
Thoughts?
Regards
Jason

4th Option:

Get a new ISS and pick up a like new old style console on Ebay.

Yes all those thoughts will work keeping in mind any differences between the Vue & VP2 console beyond the standard ISS sensors.

Another option is an Envoy + NanoSD and Vue as a display only.

Cheers All,

I can get a Pro2 ISS as a stand-alone unit and use it with my existing Vue Console. It will save a lot of changes and mucking about all round.
