UV Index: MBPro vs Nano **solved **

Post by Car54 »

I have both a MBPro and a NanoSD listening to the same Davis Vantage Pro2. The MBPro reports the UV index to the nearest 0.1, whereas the Nano reports it to the nearest 0.5.

Am I right in presuming the discrepancy is due to the Davis console, and not the Nano S/W?

Looking at my MB that has ALWAYS got data from a logger on a console and readings are not restricted to 0.5 increments.

When receiving data directly via RF from the solar sensor (as PRO/PRO2 can do) Meteobridge needs to convert raw data with an approximation to UV values. As Davis does not tell me the conversion formula they use, slight differences can hardly be avoided.
