After upgrade to version 6.1, the database runs out of space **solved**

Post by saalbers »

I updated my Meteobridge Pro (red casing) to 6.1 (build 15486) today. After the upgrade the database has no more space and the internal storage is full:

Database size: 0 MB (0 MB free space available on media).

Before the upgrade no problems at all. After that only errors in the log:

dbase (18.01.2025 20:31:01): cannot rollback (after 0 tries in 1ms): cannot rollback - no transaction is active (1)
dbase (18.01.2025 20:31:01): cannot prepare select on update table 'data10num_hour' (after 0 tries in 1ms): no such table: data10num_hour
dbase (18.01.2025 20:31:01): rollback on insert forced (2) (hour): data10num

I also tried to build the DB on an external USB (front), but the USB is not recognized. I saw on this forum I am not the first one with this issue, so not sure this is a hardware problem. Perhaps the build size was to big for the free size left on the internal storage?

What version did you upgrade from?

What's the size and type of USB?

My guess would be full or failed USB? If you log short intervals then could very well be a full USB?

FW 6.1 (Jan 14, 2025, build 15486) is fine in my MBPro (Red) with 1GB ATP and only 10% used. Database backup size is 32Mb

Did you do a cold restart? I mean remove power and power on.
That made my internal disk available again.

Does the PRO red appear as "black" on the "System - Info" tab? If so, the internal USB hub chip may have died.

Indeed the USB chip has died. Thanks to the excellent service of Boris, the problem is fixed. :D

Thanks, this issue can be closed.
