export:lastexport.txt can be emailed as an attached file (lastexport.txt) by [Select Predefined Content for Email] to the email subject.
Is there a way similar to FTP path/file to rename the outgoing emailed (lastexport.txt) file to the date such as File-Export-[YYYY][MM][DD].txt etc?
Emailing export:lastexport.txt

Yes, as far as I remember that should work, when you specify the whole path at the FTP upload event.
Re: Emailing export:lastexport.txt
This is an email service event and not FTP. The path/file can be specified for an FTP event but this option does not exist for an email event activated daily at a specific time like FTP does.
Email event requires [Select Predefined content for Email] which is placed in the email Subj # Body. Selecting export:lastexport adds the lastexport.txt file to the email subject and that works fine with lastexport.txt emailed but every file is named lastexport.txt. Have been unable to see a means to provide a meaningful file name relative to the actual Data Export filename and subsequent filename that can be modified as per the FTP Path/File.

Sorry, I misread your posting. There is currently no renaming of attachments in emails.
