Rain totals are wrong

Post by robr57 »

I migrated to new PRO2 from a PRO, as I suffered from strange intermittent issues. So time for a new PRO2.

Imported the database, it seemed all ok for the first few day.

After a couple of days, the rain totals are wrong. However, max rain rates are still correct

Code: Select all

#	Sensor Now Today Month Year All
0	rain fall (total amount) 0.0mm 2.2mm 2.2mm 2.2mm
0	rain rate (hourly) 0.0mm/h 0.0mm/h	0.0mm/h	0.0mm/h	135.6mm/h	0.0mm/h	135.6mm/h	0.0mm/h	1280mm/h
If I look at rain charts, it shows historical rain data, eg. https://admin.meteobridge.com/56b3b2a3b ... Q2&stop=Q1

Any clue how to repair this ?

Regards

In addition, I also see some very strange All time max data for system :

Code: Select all

sealevel pressure	1021.7mb	1021.1mb	1022.3mb	1008.6mb	1028.6mb	974.2mb	1042.4mb	967.8mb	1046.8mb
0	system temperature	33.6°C	32.3°C	33.7°C	29.5°C	40.7°C	29.5°C	40.7°C	29.5°C	2143023.4°C
0	system humidity	27%	26%	27%	25%	53%	25%	53%	6%	2143023%
0	system dewpoint	12.0°C	10.3°C	12.0°C	10.3°C	19.8°C	10.3°C	19.8°C	1.3°C	2143023.4°C
0	system pressure	1021.3mb	1020.7mb	1021.9mb	1011.7mb	1028.2mb	1011.7mb	1028.2mb	977.6mb	2143023.4mb
0	system sealevel pressure	1021.7mb	1021.1mb	1022.3mb	1012.1mb	1028.6mb	1012.1mb	1028.6mb	978.0mb	2143023.4mb
When I look at the strange values and have mouse hover over, it shows dates in may or june 1970 , when clicked it says no data.

Are you able to edit the wrong data items via the "Database - Edit hour data" tab?

Sorry for delay is responding.

No the wrong max data is in year 1970 and the oldest year in the "Database - Edit hour" data is 2020, so I cannot get to that date.
Please note, this is data from the internal sensor thb0!9temp sensor.

The other problem with the wrong rain totals, I dont see how I can make the rain totals recalculate. The graphs show rain rate and totals in every month of 2025 but the rain0total does not reflect this.

I did ISO export and then made a table in Excel and calculated the monthly totals.
THat shows the following :

Code: Select all

	Som van rainfall00
<01-07-2021
2021	511,8
2022	935
2023	1362,4
2024	1221
jan	101,2
feb	147,4
mrt	59,6
apr	115,6
mei	197,6
jun	54,4
jul	97,2
aug	68,6
sep	127
okt	55,6
nov	109
dec	87,8
2025	436,8
jan	114,2
feb	35,4
mrt	30,6
apr	34
mei	25,2
jun	41,4
jul	92,4
aug	57,2
sep	6,4
Eindtotaal	4467
But the rain0total only shows 17 mm as All time total....

I guess the import from the PRO did bring some invalid data sets. If you give me remote access I can try to clean up your database via CLI and SQL statements.

To be honest, I don't fully understand what data set exactly is obviously inconsistent. You do not specify how you generated the lists you present, so there can also be a user error when building these. As you are the only one finding data being inconsistent, I remain a bit sceptical.

Did you try "Recompute" on "Database - Admin" tab?

I did reconstruct (there is no recompute) which fixed the raintotal amounts. Strangely I tried before, but then that didnt fix it.
I now got messages that rain0total and rain0rate were reconstructed in the log.
So that part is fixed.

I will see if I still need remote support. The remaining problem is not a real issue as far as I can tell at the moment.

It only seems that I have some rain0rate values that are far off (eg. 1280mm/h) and these values seem not editable. But need to dig into that first.

Thanks for feedback and support sofar.
