Directional antenna to use in combination with Meteobridge PRO

Post by yamahabest »

We are a paragliding winching club in the Netherlands, and we want to place our Davis 6110 in the middle of a winching field, to have our wind measurements not affected by buildings.
The location we are looking at, is roughly 400 meters away from the location where the Meteobridge PRO is located.

Is there experience in this forum on using a SMA directional antenna (Yagi?) in combination with Meteobridge?
Would anyone have advice on which directional antenna to use?

That sort of distance is even pushing beyond standard Davis max expected reception. I don't believe an antenna system will bridge that distance either? A repeater would work and for really confident communication maybe even a second repeater?
