Re: [rain0total-sum24h] no longer working

Post by hakkisk »

It seems to be addressing a discrepancy on the RPi platform (1.3 / 1.4).
Until an hour ago (between 12:00 - 13:00), it was giving me the exact information, without the last hour (24h minus 1h). Now it's fine ...

PS: I just now noticed that 24h is less than 12h ... :-D

<div class="col">
#if#{*[m]%2=0*}#then#1hod <h4cpu>[rain0total-sum1h.1:--]</h4cpu> mm#else#3hod <h4cpu>[rain0total-sum3h.1:--]</h4cpu> mm#fi#
</div>
<div class="col">
#if#{*[m]%2=0*}#then#12hod <h4cpu>[rain0total-sum12h.1:--]</h4cpu> mm#else#24hod <h4cpu>[rain0total-sum24h.1:--]</h4cpu> mm#fi#
</div>

New reports. Time 14:00 and around 14:51. Note, 24h is still 18.5mm !!!

Also observed something similar which appears to be missing 1h but just have not been able to put my finger on just where?

At 3pm each day I run a .mail template which has a rain component as follows which has appeared fine (I thought) until yesterday when the output was clearly incorrect and at the time was raining between 1:30pm to just after 4pm
Rainfall
24 hours to 9am: {*[rain0total-sum30h]-[rain0total-sum6h]*1} mm
6 hours to 3pm : [rain0total-sum6h.1:---] mm
Today(From Midnight): [rain0total-daysum.1:---] mm

Output @3pm yesterday was and clearly the (minus)-22.8mm is incorrect considering there was definatley no rain prior to 1:30pm? 24 hours to 9am should have been 0.0mm. 6 hours to 3pm Today(from midnight) are as expected. Based on the recorded 1 minute data the expression {*[rain0total-sum30h]-[rain0total-sum6h]*1} should have evaluated sum30h of 25.2 and sum6h 25.2 hence 25.2-25.2 => 0.0 which was the rainfall for the 24 hours to 9am.

So actual rainfall for the hour (13:01-14:00) was 2.4mm and for the hour 14:01 to 15:00 (3pm) was 22.8mm hence in line with the -22.8mm in the below output which says to me the 24 hours to 9am expression was evaluated as sum30h 0.0 and sum6h as 22.8mm being only for 1 hour immediately preceding 3pm or what other values combine to create a minus rainfall for the exact rain total for the 1 hour?

3pm Observations at 15:00:00 on 27/11/2025
Rainfall
24 hours to 9am: -22.8 mm
6 hours to 3pm : 25.2 mm
Today(From Midnight): 25.0 mm

Running this same Event manually at varying times between 3-4pm output the following. Minus -0.8mm is for the period 15:00 to 15:13

3pm Observations at 15:13:00 on 27/11/2025
Rainfall
24 hours to 9am: -0.8 mm
6 hours to 3pm : 26.0 mm
Today(From Midnight): 26.0 mm

Minus -1.0mm is rain for the period 15:00 to 15:32
3pm Observations at 15:32:00 on 27/11/2025
Rainfall
24 hours to 9am: -1.0 mm
6 hours to 3pm : 26.2 mm
Today(From Midnight): 26.2 mm

The following two manual Events are 2 minutes before and 2 minutes after 4pm. Minus -1.2mm is the actual rain from 15:00 to 15:58, the 16:02 version is the sort of result expected
3pm Observations at 15:58:00 on 27/11/2025
Rainfall
24 hours to 9am: -1.2 mm
6 hours to 3pm : 26.4 mm
Today(From Midnight): 26.4 mm

3pm Observations at 16:02:00 on 27/11/2025
Rainfall
24 hours to 9am: 0.0 mm
6 hours to 3pm : 26.4 mm
Today(From Midnight): 26.4 mm

Also note the 9am & 3pm times are hardwired as text as the Event is action daily @3pm hence also reflected in the manual test activation but something odd here but just unable to pick it?
