MB Pro Red hanging about once amonth
Since last half year my Pro Red gets stuck, currently about once a month. Uploads are no longer sent, Wifi is lost, screen is dark and the upper led is blinking irregular in a low frequency. Like it's sending a kind of morse code. Pressing the pinhole button does not yield any reaction, holding it for a minute neither.
The only way I found sofar to get it up & running again is to disconnect its power supply. When running again, it appears no data has been recorded since the uploads halted. And due to the power cycle the log file is cleared. So no clue why the MB got stuck.
Does anyone recognize this situation, what to do to prevent this from happening again?
Current software is Meteobridge 6.3 (Dec 27 2025, build 15634), FW 1.4. Files storage is occupied for about 25%.
Thanks for any help.

Re: MB Pro Red hanging about once amonth
The "about once a month" is an odd one? Is this the same time every month?
To clarify things a little, so this is a MBPro (red) connected to the router via WiFi? DHCP or Static IP? What is the sensor suite and I assume data is coming in via RF? The top LED is blinking but the red LED below is not lit/solid, the third down yellow LED has no activity and neither is the bottom green LED? And during this down time there is no data recorded which is quite separate to the loss of WiFi so maybe not a single issue?
Ok can you rule out the WiFi/router connection? WiFi distance? Any indication of power fluctuations? Does the router indicate any outage/ What is the relationship between the MBPro and WiFi? Have you tried using a Ethernet cable?
Quite a few questions to eliminate why no data even though tends to be more power related, MBPro rebooting/having no Ethernet connection etc etc and stalling .....?

Re: MB Pro Red hanging about once amonth
Thanks for stepping in.
To answer your questions: the MB Red is connected via WiFi, a static IP and has a Fritz repeater in plain sight at about 3 meter.
The problem is not same time each month. Last 3 events were 3-01-2026 17:00 h, 4-12-2025 05:00 h and 15-10-2025 07:00 h.
The Fritzbox did not show a loss of wifi network. But was showing the MB as not connected. During the last hang-up I was working with my laptop and did not note any loss of Wifi signal.
The sensor suite is large, 2x ISS, 2x leaf & soil and a temp/hum unit. All coming in via RF.
Top led was blinking that morse code, all other leds are dark. And no more data recorded since the start of the non-uploads.
I have not tried an Ethernet cable yet. No free port available on the Fritz. But indeed a logical next step would be adding a switch to rule out WiFi issues.
Supply of power is pretty stable in my neighbourhood. And in between the last two outages I had moved the MB to a different loacation, near that Fritz repeater to improve signals and using same power outlet as my server. And the latter did not show hick-ups.
Today I tried to make a data download for all of 2025 and had a good connection with the MB Database Import / Export tab to do so. But when trying to download the resulting file, I could not connect by MS Explorer to the Meteobridge/data section. A restart + couple of hours later the /data section could be reached.
Another issue, not sure it's related, but I recall I could download any complete year by the hour using the top line in the export section, but the only available year is 2026. Hope you can help, thanks.

Beside the predefined export buttons, which correspond to the current year, you can use the customs options in the buttom the puch out data in any time resolution for a freely defined period of time.

Re: MB Pro Red hanging about once amonth
Today a similar hang-up. Now it took longer than a month. No longer updates, a black screen with two white frozen vertical stripes. And the top red led flashing slow & irregular. A Wifi repeater in plain sight at 3 meters. No change when plugging in an active network cable. No reaction to pressing the pinhole button, short or long press. Not emitting it's own wifi access point. The only way to get it going was to cut the power. Restart without issues, but no data appeared recorded since the start of failed uploads. All other gear using my wifi had no issues today, but to be sure I'll set the access point to a fixed channel. I'm wondering is there anything else to consider?
Re: MB Pro Red hanging about once amonth
When you send me remote login credentials I could look around and may be something strange is found.
How does the failure manifest?
1) Does it stop uploading?
2) Can you still login to the GUI?
3) Do screen saver vertical bars on display still move?

To answer the questions:
1) Does it stop uploading? - Yes weather services like AWEKAS notify me the MB has stopped.
2) Can you still login to the GUI? - No, my router indicates there's no longer an active connection.
3) Do screen saver vertical bars on display still move? - No the bars appear frozen.
March 1 it happened again and getting tired of losing data, I changed the way the MB connects to my router.
In order to exclude WiFi connection issues or WiFi chip failures I have the MB now connected via an Ethernet cable and an additional splitter.
So far no hanging has happened. But the wired connection is only two weeks old.
Let's see for some more weeks how things work out.

What is the "additional splitter" for?... In order to exclude WiFi connection issues or WiFi chip failures I have the MB now connected via an Ethernet cable and an additional splitter....

The ethernet cable was already in use by a small server running at the same place in the attic.
