I really love this application and are thinking of getting it licensed but I have a slight problem.
My dashboard displays the current wind direction in degrees but the history displays a big \"N\" and degrees beneath it.
This must be wrong, doesn't it?
Does it support the rapidfire updates of weather underground as well?
It was a design decision to take the symbolic names for most frequent wind directions in the past, as these are not computed in degrees but as 1 of 16 more general wind directions (N, NNE, NE, ENE, E, ...). So it works as designed. The actual wind direction is reported as an exact value (as exact as your weather station reports this).
The weather network feeding does not support rapid fire for WU. As this has been requested by a couple of users, I put this on my to do list.
Is every 30 secs fine? Or do you really need every 10 secs? I try to keep the Meteohub system load in somehow reasonable ranges.. its a small machine ;-)
The symbolic name solution is great but it's always showing \"N\" for North even if it has blown from the east or southeast for 2 days in a row. You can see in my picture the actual degrees and they don't match the \"N\".
I opened up my router so you can see this live and I also added a link to another users dashboard in the forum which seems having the same error. It started changing the symbol from \"N\" a while ago but it still looks wrong to me. Or am I missing something?
I just tried doing a clean install since WU stopped updating yesterday evening as well.
That didn't fix the weather direction symbol either.
I tried to rsync back the data from my 1.6b backup but that didn't work either. It complained about some syntax issues or something, but that ain't my problem now since I only had data since friday.
