Fields pulled from PurpleAir sensor

Post by dwhitemv »

Hello,

I have a PurpleAir PA-II connected to my Meteobridge.

I'd like to know what fields MB is pulling from the PurpleAir that end up as the airXX sensors. I know that MB exports the PM10/PM2.5/PM1.0 values, and they appear as air[012]pm in my setup, but it looks like MB is pulling Channel A only, and I can't quite tell which conversion it is using.

To properly apply the US EPA adjustments I need to get both Channel A and B PM2.5 values using the cf_1 conversion and the humidity from the PA's onboard sensor. I figured out how to get MB to export the humidity sensor, but I can't see how to get the particulate sensor values I need.

I know I can query this from purpleair's site, but their API is sometimes cranky and I'd like to avoid using it if possible.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Updating this old post in case anyone finds it.

Support for reading the values from the second channel was added in 2023.
released March 21, 2023

adds support for second air quality sensor in a purple air device. Data of second sensor is reported as "air#!3pm" (10 um), "air#!4pm" (2.5 um) and "air#!5pm" (1 um).
