Nano configuration + WeatherLinkPC

Post by Mattk »

Would there be a preference when changing configuration in a Nano like say adding Wind/Transmitter ID via Station>Davis Station Setup/Configure sensors or via WeatherLinkPC>Setup>Set Transceiver?

Are both means intrinsically cross linked in that either way will work or is one means preferred over th eother?

Both flash changes into the console and read the current settings on next restart. So there both ways are rather identical. The WeatherLinkPC might have some more options, that Meteobridge lacks.

admin, fair enough on them both writing to the console, but I reckon it's not quite that identical in practice. Whenever I've used WeatherLinkPC it's been a bit fussier about the transceiver ID not clashing with whatever's already set, so I tend to do it through the station menu first and check it afterwards. Might just be my setup though, and I dont have a Nano to hand to prove it 🙂
