Problem changing Meteohub IP address

Post by kalibby897 »

I need to change my Meteohub IP address to a different subnet. When I put in the new IP address and gateway info and reboot the meteohub, I keep getting the same IP address that was input previously. If I change my router info and set meteohub to use DHCP, I still get the IP that was used when I set it earlier via manual IP address. Running 4.5c

switch of dhcp, make your settings, press "save" and ignore what meteohub displays after having pressed save.

Reboot and changes will be effective as planned.

I'm wondering if you are having an issue with updating the configuration file, might be that write permission is no longer there.

try to run a cat /etc/network/interfaces from the meteohub command line, to see what is defined.

If it is a static address you will see towards the end of the file something like:
iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.0.12
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.0.1

If it is DHCP it will be:
iface eth0 inet dhcp
address 192.168.1.77
