Problem with webcam on 4.5d

I did an automatic upgrade from 4.4d which resulted in version 4.5. Since I knew 4.5d already was released I tried upgrading once more and reached that version.

The problem is that now I don't get any pictures from my Microsoft LifeCam VX-1000, which worked on 4.4d. Also the LED on the camera, which used to be lit only when it was capturing an image, is now permanently on after trying to get images from it. I don't find any problems in the logs, but on the other hand I really don't know what to look for.

Unfortunately I didn't try the webcam on 4.5 but since that is supposed to be the same as the 4.4d I already had, my bet would be that this problem was introduced somewhere between 4.5a and 4.5d.

I realise that the webcam isn't the most crucial feature of the Meteohub but at least to me it is very useful. In a few days I will leave the location of my Meteohub and probably will not be able to return until the ice is safe to walk on (late winter) or when the water is open again (early spring). Everything I have to keep track of what's happening at my summer house during the winter is very important to me and the webcam was one nice addition to that.

It looks to me as if the feature became broken somewhere in the 4.5 software. Please advice if I can be of any assistance to resolve the problem. Supplying logs for instance.

My hardware is a ALIX.1D and a WMR-928 with serial connection.

Maybe other people with webcams could be so kind as to check if it works on 4.5? Could it be only the Microsoft LifeCam VX-1000 that is affected?
