actual_rain0_total_mm

Post by rune »

Hi,

Why is my "actual_rain0_total_mm" 31.5 when where's been no rain for two days? Am I misunderstanding something?

This is the rain accumulated over some days? weeks? or months?

At my station it is: actual_rain0_total_mm 360.9

Rain sensors report a "total" and a "rate". Meteohub deduces the arrival of rain by spotting changes in the "total".

I believe actual_rain0_total_mm is the "total" from the most recent rain sensor reading.

As to it's meaning that may vary from station to station? Most likely its an "all the rain I remember seeing" figure? It's probably not terribly useful as a figure in itself...
