Wind-Gust lower than Windspeed?

Hello,

i've installed my new Weatherstation at it's final destination.
At this place, i'll get sometimes higher values for the normal windspeed as for the wind-gust.

I use the Values actual_wind0_gustspeed_ms and actual_wind0_speed_ms.

At this place, i'll get sometimes higher values for the normal windspeed as for the wind-gust.

That is perfectly normal. I see it with both Davis and Oregon Scientific weather stations, and not only in Meteohub.

The sample rates differ between weather stations but in general gust measured over a short time and wind over a longer one. At a given time the average wind over the last, say, 10 minutes can very easily be higher than the gust over the last 3 seconds.

Does that make more sense now?
