Probelm - No Internet Access error

Post by Haole »

Hello

I've had my meteohub online for about a week now, and it was working fine.
I had to power it down to move some plugs around, and when it booted back up it shows a no internet access on the system info page.
It works fine on the local network, and we are online.
I've rebooted the router, but still no luck.

Any ideas? Image

That happens sometimes, special when your system is very busy with recalculations. Normally the message is changing after sometime.
Did you try access by internet with this message on the screen?

I see the message sometimes when I access the system FROM the internet (My system in Portugal)
Checking the remote....

Some background info: Meteohub needs to establish a connection to a server in the Internet to ask this server with which IP it is showing up there. Meteohub just waits a few seconds to have this completed. If you have a slow internet connection a timeout may occur which results into the message you have seen.

If this message persists regardless the traffic on your Internet uplink, there may be something wrong with your DNS and/or gateway settings. In your case gateway settings are wrong "0.0.0.0" so your Meteohub will never get contact tio the internet. Looks like your DHCP server (router) does not respond as expected from Meteohub. Please follow instructions outlined here:

I tried following the directions on the link provided, but it will not save any changes.
I cannot change the IP of the unit, it keeps defaulting to what the DHCP had everything set at.
Also it will not save any gateway or DNS IPs, the boxes go empty after clicking Save.

Any other ideas? Image

After a reboot, settings should apply. Please post your "System Information" page after having done as described in the FAQ and having done a reboot.
