How to fix old bad data record?

Post by cbhiii »

I'm getting this error in my meteohub log:

[*]wmr928eval (14.03.2010 04:56:23): illegal data record in line 343764 while reading from file /data/weather/200901/raw: 20090112nd0 201 18 13 -081

When I got back to January 2009 and click clean up data, I get this error.

[*]Error: Cleanup of raw data for month "2009-01" failed.

How should I go and clean this up?

I'd make a copy of the raw file for January (on the basis that it's always handy to have an extra backup!), then open the original in a text editor and search for the error, using the error message as a guide.

Assuming that you can spot the error, edit out the bad line(s) and save the file.

You might then want to do a recomputation.

I suppose that you perhaps ought to halt logging while doing the edits, but personally I only do that if I'm editing the current month's raw file.
