I am trying to feed my local APRS program (Ui-View) with data from meteohub. The required data(wxnow.txt)which looks like this "300/000g000t035r000b09969h88" and is the same as is already sent by meteohub to the APRS network via the internet
Do I need to raise a new feature request; or is the data already there and it's just that I can't find it?
Any help appreciated
Cheers

Re:Meteohub to UI-View
Meteohub prepares data in that style just for feeding weather networks. It could also store data in a text file which can be grabbed by a http-request. Do you have a preference how to access these data?
Re:Meteohub to UI-View
I thought I had replied straight away but it doesn't appear to have landed so I'll try again
A file(usually called wxnow.txt) placed in the 'public area' of meteohub would be ideal for me
I do not run ui-view 24/7 so this method should not create any error messages when ui-view is not running
Ui-view looks for the file periodically and only transmits a WX data packet if the data is fresh
Sample Data
Nov 28 2009 19:01
039/002g003t038r000p...P029h95b09923
The VHF channel used for APRS packet radio
only supports a 1K2Bd data rate so updates every 15 mins or so are more than adequate
[file name=wxnow.txt size=58]http://www.meteohub.de/joomla/images/fb ... /wxnow.txt[/file]
Hope this helps
Thanks again

Re: Meteohub to UI-View
Hello
I'd like to know the staus of this as well. I used to run weather link and there is a guy who wrote a .dll to create a "wxnow.txt". He had updated it for me to run on WL 5.9. It also made a html log file. It seems the file must be WXNOW.TXT, you might be able to strip down a APRS string and make it a TXT file. Then the aprs program can pick it up (I did it through a windows share) and it would transmit it via radio.
I am no programmer and I realize threre is a very small group of people that might use this. However, there are only 2 progams that I know of that do this. Weatherlink (and you would have to know about the dll as it is not very well advertised. Also Cumulus.
I'll do whatever I can to help if need be
PS: I tried to upload the DLL in zip but it is 779kb. I can email it if you'd like to see it
