Alix1d Connection with WMR928

Post by StratoQ »

Just wondering before I order one, what is the best way to connect the oregon WMR928 to an alix1d (or does it matter?)

1) Connect as before with NLSU via USB connection.

2) Connect directly using an RS232 cable only.

For the second option what kind of RS232 connectors are needed at both ends. Male/Female, number of pins?
(Ive forgotten what connection is on the oregon and do not have one to hand.:( )

Thanks Boris

The Alix 1d c/w the serial connection is the way to go when using meteohub with Oregon WMR928. Happy to report I have no reception problems. :)
