ligthing detector

Post by kiofen »

weather means storm and storms means lighting strikes . unfortunately a lighting detector cost alot . but there is some light in the tunnel. there is a project
http://members.home.nl/fkooiman/lightning/ that can be a solution to all of us. if someone ( Frank also agree ) can made a linux software to do the job . the combination ( in the same machine ) will be a perfect one in all tool for all . an energy friendly solution will be a great solution . so we can have a total weather solution

Hi,

a Linux solution is already available, just have a look at

http://www.blitzortung.org/Webpages/ind ... =en&page=2

This solution is running here at my weather station now for nearly 1 year without any problems
It was (for me) very easy to set up the lighning monitor.
