Several times lately I have noticed that when a storm starts there is a rain rate displayed in Weather Display Live for many minutes before the Daily Rainfall is updated even though I can see on the VP2 console that a significant amount of rain has occurred. I am uploading clientraw.txt once per minute.
During a storm that just occurred, the daily total did not update for 15 minutes even though the rain rate changed several times during this period. All-sensors.xml and weather underground showed the same long lag time before updating as clientraw.txt.
It seems as if the meteohub must have started processing the data in order to update the rain rate. Why the long delay updating daily totals? It seems to be getting worse over time. Is there something I can do to reduce this delay? Would a faster processor make a difference? (I'm on an NSLU2) I've already turned of rapid fire updates to weatherunderground.
Appreciate your thoughts and ideas!

Daily rainfall lags behing rainfall rate

Re: Daily rainfall lags behing rainfall rate
Is is possible that daily rain only updates every 15 minutes by design? (as monthly updates every 6 hours and yearly once per day.)
Last night the daily rain did not go to zero in clientraw until 13 minutes after midnight. I am continuing to see rain rates with long delays in the increase of total daily rain.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Re: Daily rainfall lags behing rainfall rate
daily values are computed every 5 minutes. When you need additional graphing an that data and uploading, it can be that it will take 10-15 minutes until daily values show up correctly on your web page.
Re: Daily rainfall lags behing rainfall rate
Would a faster processor (i am using an NSLU2) speed this up? I don't create any graphs and have just turned off updating of CWOP and Weather Underground and will whether updates occur closer to 5 minutes during the next storm.
Thanks!
