Correct data for correction

Post by nonozx6 »

Hello everyone,

I use meteohub with WMR 200, and I wonder if it is possible to modify data in order to adjust the gap between the rain gauge WMR 200 and the manual rain gauge. Meteohub my data on shipments of live weather display live.

Thank you all

Do you want to make a one off change (e.g. edit bad data) or "calibrate" the WMR200 gauge?

For calibration there is the "Calibration" section on the "Settings" page.

For editing you could edit the "raw" files, but N.B. you should not edit the raw files while Meteohub is logging.

i.e. You stop logging, make your changes, restart logging, then start a Recomputation in order for Meteohub to become aware of the changes.

Actually I have sometimes edited files while Meteohub was still logging but NOT the file for the current month, that one especially should not be changed while Meteohub is logging.

Thank you for this info.

In fact I would not change the values of rainfall. Every day I look at my manual rain gauge, then I change the value received by meteohub for what is correct as the manual rain gauge.

If I find manual rain gauge at 6.5 mm and that of the resort shows 7.7 mm, I would like to pass this value to 6.5 mm

Do you know if this is possible?

Thank you

Possible, yes. Practical, I doubt it.

It might be slightly easier to "pretend" that the manual rain gauge was a second rain gauge sensor (e.g. rain1), then you wouldn't need to edit the rain0 figures, but even so it would be very complicated and I certainly wouldn't want to try to do it on a regular basis.

If the data is being reported to, say, a web page it would probably be easier to add an extra "manual gauge" section to that page and edit the html of that page daily?
