LEAF Wetness/Soil Moisture/Soil Temp

Post by gibsonmb »

Does anybody know what the three sensors above are mapped to on Meteohub? I've only got two leaf sensors so far but I do not know what they appear as in the senor lists on Meteohub. Could somebody please advise?

That is indeed what I was after but still no joy. I can see the leaf wetness sensor readout on the LCD of my Vantage Pro but somehow the data is not being sent to Meteohub. Just wonder if I repower the Vantage Pro 2 that might do it? How did you work out it was th2 btw?

regards

When I pluggged in the the new Soil/Leaf Station, I gave it a different ID to the IIS & Anemometer Transmitter. All the new Soil moisture/Temp & leaf showed up on the VP2 console. On the sensors page of MH they showed up in the "Additional IDs to be evaluated" section, then I gave them names.

Many thanks, that's exactly what I expected to happen but no joy. I assigned 'station 2' to the Leaf/Wetness. What firmware do you have on your Vantage Pro 2. I have V 1.82 (EU), the latest is V 1.89 so I'll upgrade and see if that fixes it?

THanks for input..... Mike

Hi,

I'm using V 1.82 (EU) just like you! So this should not be the problem.

I have station 2 assigned to "Soil/Moist" but thats how I use my station. If the values are being displayed on the console, then they should be getting past to MH?

How about changing the ID to station 3, and going back through the set-up again, just to make sure there is no issue with set-up.

Getting somewhere now. e-mailed Davis and they mentioned that if all was well I'd see the Leaf Wetness inteh 'Bulletin' report of Weatherlink. So disconnected from Meteohub and hooked the Vantage Pro 2 up to a PC with the latest version of Weatherlink loaded. Donloaded the data and heh, no Leaf Wetness data on teh Bulleting page. So, point is, the problem is with Vantage Pro2 and not Metoehub or the Meteohub interface. Not fixed yet of course but can put the problem squarely with Davis. I did try setting to a different station but got the same result. I can see the Leaf Wetness senors in reporting in the LCD but not in Weatherlink. I'll let you know how it goes.

So, did a little work with the Davis chap and he helped me select the the LEAF WET sensors on the config page of Weatherlink which I've not used for over a year. Once done he then directed me to the text bulletin report which I attach. He advises that the 'Current' column of the report uses the loop command which I could see was the case as it updated every second or so. So if Weatherlink can use the loop command to get the Leaf Wet sensors using the loop command then why does Meteohub not get the data! Back to Boris I think. Ok, lost the columns somehow below but you can see that Leaf Wet 1 and 2 are present in the report.

Do you have your Wireless Leaf & Soil Moisture/Temperature Station set as "LEAF/SOIL" or "LEAF" on your console set-up page?

I have mine as "LEAF/SOIL", just wonder if that will make a difference.

I know Boris does not have a VP2 console or Leaf station, so it is hard for him to test these things out!

Boris has now fixed the problem, some ajustments in the logging code. I expect it will get included in one of the next releases.
