losing WAN Connection ** solved **

Post by spee »

I am losing frequently the WAN connection. So it says no WAN connection in the system information page. I am pretty sure that the problem is due to the fact that my ISP change on random times my IP adress (no fixed IP). A simple restar always solves my problem.
Now two questions is there a way to restart more often than onec daily the meteohub server automaticly? Second question is there a possibility to implement a reconnect freature when the WAN IP is changed and or lost?

Any idea?

Thanks for your help

Cheers

Meteohub connects to a small cgi-script on \"www.meteohub.de\" that reports the IP to the requester. This is done each time the \"system information\" page is displayed by meteohub.

my guess is, that the time out for getting the WAN IP might be too short. As system load might also have an impact, this can be a bit less critical after a reboot.

At the moment timeout is set to 4 seconds. I will go with 6 in the next update. However, it shouldn't impact your Meteohub's operation at all.

You are probably right I had today another problem with the ftp upload and the problem was on the ftp server. No meteohub problem at all. Thanks again for your support!
