CSV ftp upload

Post by y2kgrays »

Hi

Is there any method or way to convert the
"all-sensors.txt" to a "all-sensors.csv" file for uploading - clicked around the software but it does not look like an option?
- would like to export it in CSV so it can be used in Pachube
- the "all-sensors.xml" is not the correct format for Pachube either.

thanks

Did you get this working, I've been trying to achieve this for ages so I can switch devices on and off at home based on data values received from Meteoplug to Pachube and then back to my house via and Arduino?

Edit: After posting this I logged into the Meteoplug forum where I see you asked as well and have had an answer from Boris, but I'll leave this reply here in case it may be useful to someone in the future.

I don't know what the Pachube format is but if Meteohub/Meteoplug contains the data then what y2kgrays described should be perfectly feasible (a full equivalent to all-sensors.xml would take a while to code, but presumably that's not needed! ).

N.B. you mention Meteoplug. That is of course different (though related) to Meteohub. With Meteoplug the equivalent technique (i.e. templates) could be used but there is also a csv export option that you might like to consider too.

Quick update, with the chaps support here I now have this working and can post all sorts of sensors from Meteoplug to Pachube at will. To be accurate, Pachube calls the created report and gets the data. Really useful..... Mike
