Because I'm not really sure I have a SLC SD HC card in my Sheeva I've got an idea to make a full backup of my card by cloning it to an another card.
If the card dies, I can quickly replace it with the clone and then only restore new data - I'm making backups of data regularly by copying the RAW files.
The big question - will it work this way?
What about the license, will the cloned card run (in the same hardware of course) or does it get a changed system ID?
Cloning the SD HC card?

Re: Cloning the SD HC card?
new card or new hardware will need a new activation code.
keep old system id and old activation code at a secure place, so that you can migrate to new system id by this link: http://wiki.meteohub.de/Transfer

Re: Cloning the SD HC card?
So there is no point to buy a spare card now.
I have the ID and activation code printed on a sticker on the Sheeva, so I think I'm good
