Strange values weather networks

Post by wouterk »

Hi,

On my ebox running meteohub the page where you can set the weather networks shows for two networks some strange values which I can not remove:
Screen shot 2011-01-05 at 20.26.57.png
Screen shot 2011-01-05 at 20.26.57.png (14.62 KiB) Viewed 4825 times
I tried to delete the entry and then save it again but then the entries reappear. I do not know how the got there and do not know how to remove them.
Does someone know in which file these settings are kept so I can edit the file or even better how I can remove them in the browser interface?

I'm not really sure what the issue is; it seems that you have not selected those weather networks for uploads, so the values won't be used anyway.

Apart from that, it appears to me that those are default values, that you probably need when starting to upload to those networks.

If I'm overlooking things, can you please describe the issue that is causing you troubles?

I have no problems with it because, as you mentioned, I am not using them. The only thing is that there is an entry in a field that I can remove and keeps coming back. Seems strange to me. In case that I am going to use these weather networks (probable not) I am not able to enter the correct values .

Looking some more to the values one looks like a mac address.

You can not change the mac address, i you try to enable meteonews, you will see that the mac address stays the same, so I guess it's used for station identification.

If you change the APRS value (not delete it) you will see that it will accept the change (I changed mine to :14582#-1), so this should not be a be an issue. I guess that the code is doing some sanity checking on this field.

meteonews does make use of the mac for identification.

aprs can be changed but not deleted. replace by a blank when the entry should go insible.

Ok, I was thinking that something was corrupted. So, nothing to worry about. Thanks for the replies.
